Box Score ELKINS, W. Va. - The Davis & Elkins College men's soccer team dropped a 1–0 decision to Concord University on Sunday afternoon at Nuttall Field in its final home match of the season.
Concord (11-3-1, 9-3-0 MEC) found the game's lone goal in the 78th minute as the Senators (7-5-3, 7-4-3 MEC) were unable to find an equalizer despite a late offensive push. Davis & Elkins held a 10–3 advantage in shots and earned seven second-half corner kicks but could not break through the Mountain Lions' defense.
Goalkeeper Charlie Phillips made two saves for the Senators, while Chinedu Ikem led the team with two shots on goal.
Prior to kickoff, Davis & Elkins honored its senior class of Kendall Pellot, Chinedu Ikem, Patrick Alouidor, Anthony Pereira, Joao Cavaletti, TraBi Diakite, Raheem Walters, and Edward Stephens for their contributions to the program.
The Senators will close out the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 29, traveling to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to face Point Park University in Mountain East Conference action. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.
