Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins volleyball team battled throughout three competitive sets but fell 3-0 to Frostburg State on Tuesday night inside the McDonnell Center in Mountain East Conference play.
The Bobcats edged the Senators in the opening set 26-24 before taking the next two 25-17 and 25-19. Davis & Elkins showed strong stretches throughout, highlighted by a six-ace first set and solid blocking at the net.
Neve Norris led the Senators with nine kills, while Melisa Ozsar tallied seven kills, 11 digs, and a team-best five service aces. Setter Keira Robinson dished out 18 assists and added six digs, and Braelyn Brenneman was a presence at the net with five block assists. Saige Abbott anchored the defense with 10 digs and contributed two service aces.
As a team, D&E finished with 27 kills, 10 service aces, and five total team blocks.
The Senators drop to 0-19 overall and 0-9 in MEC play, while Frostburg State improves to 7-12 and 2-6 in the conference.
Davis & Elkins returns to the McDonnell Center on Friday, October 24, to host Fairmont State at 7 p.m. in another MEC matchup.
