Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins dropped a 3-0 decision (15-25, 9-25, 23-25) to West Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday evening inside the Rockefeller Center in Mountain East Conference action.
The Senators were led offensively by Kaylee Vanjo, who tallied nine kills and added a solo block. Melisa Ozsar followed with seven kills and one ace, while Neve Norris chipped in four kills and eight digs. Setter Keira Robinson paced the offense with 20 assists and added four digs. Maddie Edicola led the back row with eight digs.
As a team, Davis & Elkins finished with 25 kills and three aces while hitting .135.
West Virginia Wesleyan improved to 12-5 overall and 4-1 in the MEC behind a balanced attack led by Bhrooke Axe with 16 kills on a .640 hitting percentage and Lisdarelyn Grassals with 11 kills. The Bobcats hit .348 as a team and recorded five service aces.
Davis & Elkins (0-16, 0-6 MEC) will return to action on Friday, Oct. 17, when they travel to West Liberty for a 7 p.m. matchup.
