ELKINS, W.Va. — Davis & Elkins men's soccer capped Homecoming Weekend in style Saturday afternoon with a dominant 4–0 victory over Salem University at Nuttall Field.

The win marked the fourth straight for the Senators (6-2-3, 6-1-3 MEC) and their third consecutive shutout, continuing a strong stretch of form in October.

Senior forward Chinedu Ikem opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, sending D&E into halftime with a 1–0 lead. The Senators wasted no time extending their advantage after the break — Abdourhaman Faye struck in the 54th minute before Ikem tallied his second goal of the day in the 61st minute. Benjamin Luengo added the final touch in the 75th, converting off an assist from Faye to seal the 4–0 result.

Goalkeeper Charlie Phillips recorded three saves to earn his third straight clean sheet as the D&E defense held Salem (1-6-5) to just six shots, only three on target.

The Senators outshot the Tigers 16–6 and held a 5–3 edge in corner kicks while maintaining control throughout both halves.

Davis & Elkins will return to action Wednesday, Oct. 15, with a road matchup at West Liberty University. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. in West Liberty, W.Va.
