Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins College volleyball celebrated 25 years of competition on Friday night inside the McDonnell Center, honoring the legacy of its program before taking on Concord in Mountain East Conference play.
The Senators battled throughout the night but fell 3-0 (15-25, 22-25, 23-25) to the visiting Mountain Lions.
Melisa Ozsar led D&E offensively with 11 kills, while Kaylee Vanjo added seven. Setter Keira Robinson tallied 18 assists, and Maddie Edicola anchored the defense with 12 digs. Neve Norris recorded four service aces and seven digs in a strong all-around effort.
After dropping the opening set, the Senators found rhythm in the second and third, pushing Concord to tight finishes before the Lions sealed the sweep.
The loss moves Davis & Elkins to 0-15 overall and 0-5 in MEC play, while Concord improves to 14-2 and 4-1 in the league.
The night began with a pregame recognition of 25 years of D&E volleyball, celebrating past players, coaches, and program milestones since its start in 2000.
The Senators will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 14, when they travel to Buckhannon to face West Virginia Wesleyan at 7 p.m. in another MEC matchup.
