Charleston, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins fell to the University of Charleston in the MEC semi-finals 13-8 ending their historic season.
Rylee Anderson led the Senators scoring three goals and adding an assist.
The Senators came out on fire to start the game taking a 5-1 advantage into the second period. However, the Golden Eagles would bounce back in the second period by tying the game at 6-6 going into halftime.
The second half would be all Golden Eagles as they outscored the Senators 3-0 in the third period to take a 9-6 lead into the fourth period. The fourth period would also belong to the Golden Eagles as they outscored the Senators 4-2 on their way to the victory.
Ari Hinton scored two goals and
Marissa Cuevas recorded 13 saves.
The Senators end their historic season with an overall record of 12-6.
