Wheeling, W.Va. -- The season came to an end for the Senators in the Mountain East Conference Tournament Quarterfinals after an 82-74 loss to Concord.
Vadim Clanet led the way for the Senators with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
The contest was back-and-forth the entire game which included 17 lead changes and 12 ties. Neither team held a lead larger than 5 points in the first half with Concord leading at halftime 42-39.Â
The second half would be much the same as the Senators came back early in the half and took a 5 point lead with 11:23 remaining in the game. Concord would respond by taking the lead for the final time at 64-63 with 6:47 remaining. The Mountain Lions lead would grow to as many as 9 with 1:04 remaining to put the game away.
Sam Rolle IV had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Nicolas Silva chipped in 14 points while
Clarens Pierre pulled down 12 rebounds.
The Senators end the season with a 15-14 record which marks back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 69 years.
