Hinton Leads Senators to Two Wins

Elkins, W.Va. -- The Senators picked up two wins at home on Friday behind Ari Hinton's 11 goals to move to 4-0 on the season.

Game 1 vs Tiffin University 13-8 Win
The first game of the day was back-and-forth until late in the fourth period. The Senators jumped out to an early lead by outscoring the Dragons 3-1 in the first period. However, the Dragons would bounce back in the second period to take a 5-4 lead heading into halftime.

The third period would be a defensive struggle as both teams were only able to score two goals and would go into the fourth period with the Dragons leading 7-6. Trailing 8-7 with 12:02 remaining in the game, the Senators would score the final six goals of the game to pull out the win.

Izzie Sevila would lead the Senators with 3 goals and added an assist and 3 groundballs.

Ari Hinton would add 2 goals, 3 assists, 3 caused turnovers and 2 groundballs.

Emelia Johnson and Madison Jones each scored 2 goals in the game.

Marissa Cuevas recorded 16 saves.

Game 2 vs University of District of Columbia 22-11 Win
The second game of the day saw the Senators explode for 11 goals in the first period to take a commanding 11-3 lead. The Senators would add to their lead in the second period by outscoring the Dragons 4-2 and lead 15-5 at halftime.

The third period would be low scoring with only 4 goals scored and the Senators would lead 18-6 going into the final period. The Dragons would outscore the Senators 5-4 in the fourth period but Davis & Elkins would cruise to a convincing victory.

Ari Hinton would lead the Senators with 9 goals, 5 assists and 5 ground balls.

Morgan Rogers and Ke'ya Stevens each scored 3 goals.

Marissa Cuevas recorded 12 saves.
