Elkins, W.Va. -- The Senators opened up their 2024 season with a convincing 20-2 victory over Emory & Henry.
Ari Hinton led the offensive attack with 5 goals and 2 assists.
Ke'ya Stevens would score the first goal of the season for the Senators on an assist from Hinton with 12:13 remaining in the first quarter. Davis & Elkins would control the rest of the quarter taking 18 shots to Emory & Henry's 1 and would lead 6-0 after the first quarter.
The second quarter would be much of the same as the Senators once again controlled most of the pace outshooting the Wasps 13-4 and caused 10 turnovers. The Senators would convert 6 of there shots into goals and would lead 12-1 going into halftime on their way to the 20-2 victory.
Overall the Senators held a commanding 47-9 advantage in shots and also forced 15 more turnovers than the Wasps.
Stevens and
Jessica Dwyer would both score 4 goals on the day for the Senators while
Morgan Rogers would score 3 times.
Izzie Sevila would lead the Senators with 3 assists.
Zoe Mackey caused 6 turnovers while Dwyer and Hinton caused 4 apiece.
