FROSTBURG, Md. -- The Davis & Elkins women's lacrosse season came to an end Wednesday in the Mountain East Conference Tournament Semifinals. The Senators fell to the league's top-seed, FrostburgĀ State 17-0.
D&E couldn't get things moving offensively against the Bobcats as Frostburg outshot the Senators 38-13. Frostburg also had a clear advantage in shots on goal, with 30 to D&E's 8.
Griselle Rosado managed to get off eight shots, scooped a pair of ground balls, and caused a turnover.
Marissa Cuevas had twelve saves in the net. The First-team All-MEC goalie also scooped a game-leading six ground balls.
D&E finished the season 4-6 in conference play. Frostburg State will face Notre Dame in the MEC Championship game on Sunday.
