D&E Softball Drops a Pair at Glenville

GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins was unable to provide much offense in a road softball doubleheader against Glenville State.

GAME ONE
Davis & Elkins managed just four hits in game one as Glenville had eleven hits and batted in ten runners in a 10-0 loss.

The Pioneers utilized a six-run second inning to put the game out of reach and tacked on two runs in the third and fourth innings.

Sharon Morales had a pair of hits. Linzey Allard and Ashlyn Zapach had one hit each.

Saylor Kneeland pitched 1.2 innings and was saddled with the loss. Alexa Uphold pitched 2.1 innings for the Senators.

GAME TWO
Game two proved to show less offense from the Senators as they managed only one hit in the contest but were able to limit Glenville State to four hits. Unfortunately, the Pioneers were able to capitalize and turn hit into runs as they outscored D&E 4-0 in the game.

Maddie Lavelle picked up D&E lone hit of the contest.

Anjolina Gutierrez earned a stolen base in the game.

Vanessa Hunt pitched all six innings and earned the loss.

The Senators are scheduled to play a doubleheader at home Wednesday against West Virginia Wesleyan. The first game is set to start at 2pm at Joni Smith Field.
