HAMPDEN SYDNEY, Va. -- Davis & Elkins' men's lacrosse team fell short to Barton College, 15-8 in a neutral site contest.

The 4pm game was handled by Barton in the first half.
Austin Derx opened the scoring for the Senators to take an early 1-0 lead. From then on, Barton controlled the pace, ending the half with an 11-3 lead.

In the second half, the Senators found some energy to get the game within five; 12-7 to finish the 3rd quarter. The Senators outscored Barton 5-4 in the half with a pair of goals from
Tyler Kolodka, who had four total for the day. However, this did not prove to be enough as they lost 15-8.

The Senators take the field Saturday at home for a 1pm contest with Roberts Wesleyan College.
