INSTITUTE, W.Va. – Coach Daniel Mondragon's Senator basketball team traveled to West Virginia State University Wednesday night for a midweek clash with the Yellow Jackets.  In the end the WVSU offense was too much as they took the victory 112-87.

Davis & Elkins had three players score 20 or more points.  Sam Rolle IV had 26 points followed by Breland Walton 23 and Ben Gilliam 20.  Walton had a team high 10 rebounds.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Noah Jordan.  Jordan had 26 points followed by Glen Abram 24.

The Senators drop to 6-17 overall and 4-13 in the Mountain East Conference.

West Virginia State improves to 17-6 overall and 12-4 in the MEC.

D&E returns home Saturday.  They will entertain the University of Charleston inside the McDonnell Center.  Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00pm.
