WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. -- Davis & Elkins men's tennis could not hold off a charging West Liberty squad late in a thrilling 4-3 loss on Wednesday afternoon. 

Davis & Elkins (2-3) took the doubles point and racked up several wins early. Obert Matthew Mulyadi and Alvaro Legoinha set the tone with a 7-5 win at number one doubles before Andrew Shand and Jacob Johnson handed the doubles point to the Senators with a 6-4 triumph. 

Kyle Hawthorne and Legoinha both answered back from first-set deficits to collect wins in singles action. WLU took the match late in an 8-6 tiebreaker at number five singles.
