After weeks of new protocols and adjustments, the Davis & Elkins volleyball team will finally take the court for the 2021 season on Tuesday, visiting Concord for a 7:00 PM first serve. Head coach
Jordan Willis has retooled the Senators' roster, which graduated most of its production from a season ago.
The Senators welcome in 10 newcomers to this year's squad while returning seniors
Mya Mintschenko,
Cynthia Arango and
Luann O'Kane. Mintschenko is the only returner with 100 or more kills from last season, adding 67 blocks. D&E will conclude its first week of competition with a Friday night matchup at Charleston (W.Va.) as part of a season-opening road swing.

The D&E basketball teams begin week five of the MEC late with doubleheaders against West Liberty and Wheeling. The Senators begin the week at home before hitting the road for a Saturday afternoon matchup.

Wrestling Primed for MEC Championships
Davis & Elkins wrestling makes the trek to West Liberty for the 2021 MEC Championships on Saturday. The Senators capped a 27-15 dual win against Glenville State on January 30. No spectators are permitted at the event, which starts at noon. Official brackets will be released Friday evening.
The Senators notched a fourth-place finish at last year's conference championships.

Josh Sanders all posted victories last time out against Glenville State. The Senators have been balanced throughout the lineup this season. Four wrestlers (Wojtaszek, Finnerty, Scollo, Cook) are tied for a team-high six wins in 2021.

Swimming Continues Season at WV Wesleyan

Davis & Elkins swimming will compete in its second consecutive dual, traveling to face nearby West Virginia Wesleyan. The Senators opened up the 2021 season with a sweep of Frostburg State, notching a 171-87 win on the men's side and a 158-100 triumph for the women's team.
The Senators' raced past Frostburg, securing wins in 21 of 28 events.
Casey Hayford posted a pair of victories and added a win in the 200 medley relay, while Garrett Vondrasek had a strong collegiate debut with wins in the 100 fly, 200 fly and the 200 medley relay.
