Track & Field Teams Return to Action at VMI Winter Relays

The Senator track & field teams will head to Virginia Military Institute (VMI) for the first of two consecutive weekends, competing in a heavy field in the VMI Winter Relays. D&E will use this event, and its competitive field, to improve times and set their sights on the MEC Indoor Championships in two weeks. Dalton Irvine's best 55m hurdle time of 8.23 seconds is narrowly short of meeting NCAA provisional time for the second consecutive year, and several Senators will aim to set season-best times over the weekend.

Acrobatics & Tumbling, Wrestling to host First Annual "Beauty and the Beast"

Acrobatics & tumbling will kick off their season on Saturday, hosting Urbana in the inaugural Beauty and the Beast event. Wrestling will follow with their first home meet, hosting Fairmont State at 5:00 PM, with both events taking place in the McDonnell Center. The events will serve as a Code Red meet, with a tailgate sponsored by Senator Entertainment, and a t-shirt giveaway to the first 50 students at each meet. D&E defeated Urbana 234-140 in last year's meet, while Fairmont State finished sixth at last week's MEC Wrestling Championships. Saturday starts a stretch of two consecutive home contests for both acrobatics & tumbling and wrestling.

Basketball Teams Continue Season at Notre Dame (Ohio)

Davis & Elkins men's and women's basketball teams take the court for a road doubleheader on Saturday afternoon against the Notre Dame College Falcons. Davis & Elkins softball opens its 2020 campaign with a trip to Tennessee for doubleheaders against King (Tenn.) and Tusculum. A full preview will be posted to SenatorNation.com before the start of the season. D&E switched its matchup with Tusculum from Saturday to Monday due to impending weather.
