OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Basketball team earned a spot in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Semifinals on Friday with an 88-66 win over Trevecca Nazarene at the Sportscenter.
Kevin Bracy-Davis, who was named the G-MAC Player of the Year Thursday morning, led the way for the Senators, scoring 28 points in 27 minutes. Bracy-Davis also had six rebounds.
The teams traded the lead several times over the first 12 minutes of the game, but the Senators took the lead with 8:21 left in the first quarter and would pull away, using a 20-3 run.
Davis & Elkins took a 49-34 lead into the break and held a double-digit advantage over the entirety of the second half, going up by as much as 23.
Rickenjee Bellevue joined Bracy-Davis in double figures, collecting his 10th double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Bellevue also had two assists, a steal and a block.
Teron Owens also finished in double figures with 11 points off the bench for the Senators. Owens also had two steals and two rebounds.
Wesley Sprinkle led the Senators with four steals in the game, while also scoring eight points.
The Senators will face rival Alderson Broaddus in the semifinals on Friday. The game is set for a 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT start.
