Game One

The Basics

• Score: 10-2  
• Records: Davis & Elkins (21-12) – Salem International (13-14)
• Location: Joni Smith Softball Field, Elkins, West Virginia

How it Happened:

• The Tigers scored two runs in the top of the first inning on two run Katie Chryssofos home run.
• D&E even the score at two in the bottom of the third inning.  Taylor Norton doubled scoring Alyssa Cairns and Sydney Turner, who had reached on a single.
• The Senators tacked on three more runs in the fourth inning on four hits and one Tiger error before adding five more runs in the fifth inning to secure the run rule victory.
• Sydney Turner had three hits and three RBI for D&E.  Katie Manson, Danielle Norton and Katelyn Norton all had two hits.
• Allie Lapallo earned the win for D&E, giving up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts. 

Game Two

• Score: 6-1
• Records: Davis & Elkins (22-12) – Salem International (13-15)
• Location: Joni Smith Softball Field, Elkins, West Virginia

How it Happened:

• Neither team was able to score in the first or second inning.  D&E scored two runs in the third inning on a Sydney Turner double and one Salem International error.
• The Senators scored four more runs in the fifth inning.  Highlighted by Katie Manson's first career home run, a three run shot over the center field fence.
• Danielle Norton, Katie Manson and Sydney Turner all had two hits for D&E.
• Allie Lapallo picked up the win for the Senators, allowing five hits with two strikeouts.

 Senator Synopsis:

"Our defense was fantastic this weekend, said head coach Kimberly Stiles.  "I think it was a great weekend for us and I am looking forward to our midweek double header and conference series against Cedarville next weekend".

The Senators travel to Bowie State on Tuesday for a non-conference double header beginning at 2:00 PM.
