Box Score 2 Game One
The Basics:

- Winning Pitcher: Allie Lapallo (21-9), Losing Pitcher: Rachel Furman (2-2)
How it Happened:
- After Alyssa Cairns singled to lead off the third inning, Taylor Norton gave the Senators the lead with a two-run homerun to left.
- In the next inning, Cairns would extend the lead with an RBI double to left, scoring Sydney Turner, pushing the lead to 3-0 Senators.
- Two batters later, Norton would hit another homerun, this time a three-run shot to left center, pushing the Davis & Elkins lead to 6-0.
- In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Senators walked off with their third homerun of the game, this time off the bat of Katlyn Huffman, who hit another three-run homer to left center to seal the run-rule victory.
- Allie Lapallo tossed a complete game, scattering three hits and a walk with one strikeout.
Game Two
The Basics:
- Score: 2-4
- Records: Davis & Elkins (30-16, 13-9) – Cedarville (22-26, 13-11)
- Location: Joni Smith Field, Elkins, West Virginia
- Winning Pitcher: Morgan Arbogast (10-12), Losing Pitcher: Allie Lapallo (21-10)
How it Happened:
- The teams were scoreless through the first four innings, with Allie Lapallo and Morgan Arbogast finding themselves in a pitching battle.
- Cedarville capitalized on an error and broke the tie in the fifth with a sacrifice fly to go up 1-0 in the top of the fifth. The Yellow Jackets would add two more runs in the inning to take a 3-0 lead.
- Davis & Elkins responded with three straight hits to start the bottom of the fifth, but were unable to capitalize and answer back.
- Cedarville would add an insurance run in the top of the seventh with a solo homerun to increase the lead to 4-0.
- The Senators would cut the deficit back in the bottom of the seventh with a two-run homerun to left by Danielle Norton.
- Allie Lapallo tossed 4.2 innings in the loss, giving up three unearned runs on seven hits. Victoria Krystynak pitched the remaining 2.1 innings, giving up two hits, including the run in the seventh.
Senator Synopsis:
"Our pitchers threw well for us today and I thought we hit much better," said Head Coach Kimberly Stiles, "We gave away a few runs but I think we are playing good softball heading into our last weekend and conference tournament."
What's Next:
The Senators travel to Canton, Ohio to take on Malone University in a non-conference doubleheader on Thursday April 21st. The game times are set for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
