How It Happened:
 
- The Tigers were defeated 85-47 by the Davis & Elkins Senators in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play Thursday, February 4.
- The loss drops the Salem International University women's basketball team to 2-19 overall, 0-9 in the G-MAC. Meanwhile, the Senators improve to 5-4 in league play, 9-11 overall this season.
- Davis & Elkins raced out to a 20-6 lead after the first period and entered halftime with a 28-point lead, 43-15. The Tigers struggled from the field early, converting 18 percent (6 of 33) attempts.
- Salem International improved its shooting in the second half. The team shot 38 percent (13 of 34), but it was not enough to overcome the halftime deficit.
- Stephanie Wooten led scoring with a game-high 19 points and 5 assists. Sydney Turner added in 15 points and 7 rebounds while Caitlyn O'Neal chipped in 10 points.
- The Senators shot 44.4% from beyond the arc compared to only 12.5% for the Tigers.
