How It Happened:

• The Davis & Elkins College women's basketball team could not stop Ursuline College from powering to 79-63 win on Thursday, February 25.
• The Arrows started the game with intent, shooting 50% from beyond the arc (4 for 8) to build a 7-point lead at the end of the first quarter. However, the Senators fired back through three point baskets from Nicole Armstrong, Syndey Turner and Catilyn O'Neal to close the gap to just 3 points.
• Ursuline responded in the third quarter, finding a higher gear through a 9-0 unanswered run, to rebuild their lead. Turnovers would cost D&E dear as they trailed by 17 at the end of the quarter. The Senators could not close the gap back to The Arrows who coasted to the 79-63 win.
• Turner led scoring for D&E with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Aliyah Dukes followed with 9 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists while Kaylee Yergeau posted 8 points and 6 rebounds on the night.
• Ursuline had five players post double digits in points. Erica Huber posted a game high 18 points to lead her team to the win. D&E had 27 turnovers compared to UC's 10. The Arrows scored 21 points off turnovers on the night, 17 more than their G-MAC counterpart.
