How It Happened:
- Kentucky Wesleyan held off a late charge from Davis & Elkins to win 84-78 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play on Thursday, February 18. Kentucky Wesleyan boasted double-digit leads multiple times during the game, but the Senators would never let KWC fully pull away.
- With the win, Kentucky Wesleyan improves to (22-3, 8-1 G-MAC) on the season. The Panthers have also won seven consecutive games, and remain perfect at the Sportscenter this year with a 16-0 record.
- D&E shot only 65% from the free throw line, making 13 of 20 shots. The Senators shot 30.4% (7 for 23) from beyond the arc. Kentucky Wesleyan also scored 34 points inside the paint, and scored 21 points off of turnovers. Davis & Elkins committed 14 turnovers in the game.
- G-MAC Athlete of the Week (Feb. 15) Kevin Bracy-Davis led scoring for the Senators with 20 point and 5 rebounds. Kevin Simpson finished with 19 points. Aleksandar Vasiljevic posted 12 rebounds and 9 points on the night.
