- OVU opened the game taking a 5-2 advantage in the first 2:07, but D&E went on a 12-0 run over the next five minutes to take a 14-5 lead with 2:53 to go in the first quarter. Kali Wilburn, who finished the game with 14 points and 11 boards, scored six of the Senator points in the run.
- Davis & Elkins never relinquished the lead the rest of the night. The Senators expanded their advantage to 40-25 at the half.
- D&E led 46-34 with 6:05 left in the third, but OVU mounted a comeback with a 10-0 run behind six points from Shicole Watts to cut the lead to 46-44. Watts finished with 29 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- The Senators responded to the OVU surge with a 14-0 run over the end of the third and first three minutes of the fourth to build a 60-44 lead. Tajee Pledger scored four of her 10 points off the bench in the run.

D&E's game at Salem International Saturday, January 23 has been rescheduled due to the forecasted winter storm. The game is now set for Thursday, February 4 at Salem International at 5:30 p.m. The Senators host West Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday, January 26th at 5:30 p.m.
