Inside the Numbers:
- OVU's David Sinickas had four three-pointers in the opening 6:15 of the first half and helped the Fighting Scots secure a 17-9 lead. It was the only points Sinickas would score on the evening.
- D&E knotted the game at 17-17 behind a Rickenjee Bellevue jumper and pair of three-point buckets from Kevin Simpson and Teron Owens.
- Midway through the first half, Simpson helped D&E take their first lead of the night 21-20 with 8:15 remaining. The Senators maintained their lead to the intermission 36-34. Simpson led the way for D&E with 19 points.
- In the first five minutes of the second half, the teams traded leads, but OVU outscored D&E 13-4 over the next five minutes to build a 59-50 lead.
- With OVU in control of the game leading 72-62, the Senators went on a 10-0 to tie the game at 72-72 with 2:47 left in the contest. Following a pair of D&E turnovers, Avery Williams and Markese Allen pushed the OVU lead back to six points 78-72 and a technical foul called on the D&E bench with 41 seconds left, dashed hopes of another comeback. Allen led all scorers with 31 points on 11-for-14 shooting including 8-for-9 beyond the arc.

D&E's game at Salem International Saturday, January 23 has been rescheduled due to the forecasted winter storm. The game is now set for Thursday, February 4 at Salem International at 7:30 p.m. The Senators return to action at Cedarville on Thursday, January 28th at 7:30 p.m.
