OWENSBORO, Ky. – Kentucky Wesleyan dealt Davis & Elkins a pair of setbacks on Saturday. The Panthers took game one, 3-0 and came away with a 1-0 win in game two.

A first inning wild pitch gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead. An RBI groundout in the second extended the lead to 2-0, and a D&E error in the sixth led to the final run, setting the 3-0 margin.

Taylor Norton (1-2) allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and walked one over six innings.

In game two, KWC plated a run with a groundout in the sixth to pull out the 1-0 win.

Alexandra Lapallo (0-1) gave up one run on two hits, struck out two and walked three.  

Davis & Elkins travels to Alderson Broaddus for a doubleheader on Sunday at 1 p.m. The first game of the afternoon will be a G-MAC contest, while the second game is non-conference. The winner of Sunday's first game will be the fourth seed in next week's conference tournament, and the loser will be the fifth seed.
