NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Davis & Elkins golf team played in a pair of tournaments over the past three days. D&E was in Indiana for Midwest Regional #4 on Sunday and Monday, before heading to Pennsylvania to participate in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Tuesday.
Davis & Elkins finished with a two-day total of 612 (304-308) for a 21st place finish out of 31 teams. James Sutherland (74-76) and Kollin Hopwood (76-74) each carded a 150. Alistair Cameron (77-75) notched a 152. Josh Taylor (77-83) scored a 160 and Matthew Landes (78-84) ended with a 162.
Indianapolis claimed their second consecutive Midwest Regional with a score of 583. Ferris State's Ben Cook and Walsh's Nick Paxos shared low medalist honors with identical 141's.
In Pennsylvania, D&E finished sixth of six teams with a team score of 313. Taylor led the way with a 76, followed by Cameron (78), Landes (79), Sutherland (80) and Hopwood (82).
Grove City garnered the team title with a total score of 300, led by low medalist Brian Giesler's 69.
Davis & Elkins closes out the 2014-15 season at the G-MAC Championships next Monday.
