ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins softball team wrapped up the opening weekend of conference play with a 9-1 win over Ursuline on Monday.

UC's Kaitlin Krajcik singled gome a run in the second inning to put the Arrows on top 1-0. Alexandra Lapallo tied the game with a RBI single in the third, and scored on a three-run blast by Katelyn Norton to take a 4-1 lead. Kayla Whoolery belted a solo shot in the fifth, extending the lead to 5-1. Taylor Norton delivered a two-run bomb in the sixth and Whoolery tripled home a pair to set the 9-1 margin.

Lapallo (6-3) tossed the complete game, allowing one run on four hits with a pair of strikeouts and one walk.

D&E hosts Ohio Valley on Friday at 2 p.m.
