Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. – Alderson Broaddus picked up its 20th win of the season with a 65-56 victory over Davis & Elkins on Saturday.
Kevin Bracy-Davis led the Senators with 16 points. Juwan Strothers finished with 14 points.
AB's Richard Lemon notched a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Malcolm Tatum added 15 points.
The Battlers held a 38-32 advantage on the glass. D&E turned the ball over a season-low four times. AB scored 14 second chance points. Alderson Broaddus connected on 10-of-24 three point field goals.
The Battlers raced to a 20-3 lead, holding the Senators without a made field in the game's first 10 minutes. Davis & Elkins battled back with a 15-2 run, trimming the margin to 24-18. Bracy-Davis provided 10 of the 15 points. AB went to the locker room with a 32-22 lead.
Alderson Broaddus opened the second half with a 9-2 jolt, pushing their advantage back to 41-24. Davis & Elkins countered with a 10-0 blitz, cutting the deficit back to single digits at 41-34. AB maintained a cushion of not less than the remainder of the game to secure the 65-56 win.
The Davis & Elkins men conclude the 2014-15 campaign with a record of 6-20. Saturday's loss brings an end to the career of senior Shuaib Kamara.
