Box Score ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord buried 14 threes to pull away from Davis & Elkins, 83-57 on Wednesday.
Juwan Strothers paced the Senators with 18 points. Kevin Bracy-Davis added 13 points off the bench.
Rob Read (19), Aaron Miller (14) and Paul Byrd (10) each reached double figures for the Mountain Lions.
CU drained 14-of-30 (47 percent) of its' attempts from beyond the arc, while the Senators were successful on just 1-of-14 (7 percent) of their attempts. The Mountain Lions' defense limited Davis & Elkins to 34 percent (18-of-53) from the field and forced 21 turnovers, which led to 24 points. D&E was a solid 20-of-25 (80 percent) at the charity stripe.
Concord connected on a trio of three point field goals during a 25-9 surge to open the contest. D&E outscored CU 16-9 the remainder of the half to pull within single digits at 34-25.
The Mountain Lions scored the first seven points in the second half, and were never challenged the rest of the way to the 83-57 victory.
D&E concludes the 2014-15 campaign on Saturday as they welcome Alderson Broaddus. It will be the final game for senior, Shuaib Kamara, and has been dubbed Fan Appreciation Day—with free admission and a performance by the Zooperstars.
