ATHENS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins bench provided 29 points to lead the Senators past Concord on Wednesday evening by a score of 73-65.

Sharmaine Baker led D&E with 18 points. Ashley Bowles added 17 points and five assists, while Maquasia Ferebee ripped down seven rebounds. Sydney Turner tallied nine points, while Carley O'Neal and Mary Jane Braham each posted eight points off the bench for Davis & Elkins.

Kylie Molisee notched a game-high 20 points. Melea Smith (16) and Rachel Artrip (10) also scored in double figures for the Mountain Lions.

The Senators controlled the glass, holding a 43-36 advantage. Concord converted 27 D&E turnovers into 24 points. D&E shot 47 percent (25-of-53) from the field and connected on 17-of-22 (77 percent) of their opportunities at the charity stripe.

Concord pulled ahead 12-6 early in the opening half. Turner buried back-to-back threes as part of an 8-0 run, putting D&E on top 14-12. CU regained the lead at 21-19 before Davis & Elkins closed the half on a 18-4 blitz to take a 37-25 lead to the locker room. Baker and Bowles combined to score the final 13 points.

The Mountain Lions scored 24 of the first 33 points after halftime to go in front, 49-46. Bowles and Turner combined for a trio of threes during a 16-6 surge to forge the Senators ahead, 62-55. CU trimmed the margin to three on a pair of occasions, but D&E went 5-of-6 at the free throw line in the final minute to secure the 73-65 win.

Davis & Elkins closes out the regular season at home on Saturday against Alderson Broaddus. It will be Senior Day for Baker, Bowles and Ferebee.
