How It Happened:

• A strong start to the second half helped propel D&E to a 89-83 win over Chowan University on Saturday, December 5.
• The Senators got off to a lead early but Chowan rallied to close the gap before half time.
• However, D&E started the second half with a 7-2 run that included three point baskets from Kevin Bracy-Davis and Kevin Simpson, giving the Senators a 12-point lead.
• D&E maintained a comfortable lead for much of the second half and were able to fend off a late fight back from Chowan to seal the win.
• Bracy-Davis led scoring for the Senators with 24 points, while Simpson added 18 and Wesley Sprinkle ended the game with 14.
• Aleksander Vasiljevic and Rickenjee Bellevue combined for 31 rebounds, pulling down 14 and 17 respectively.

"Great to get a team victory at home in front of our fans. Chowan answered every run we made but our guys grinded it out and made some key shots tonight. Aleks and Rick's combined 31 rebounds really propelled us. Their effort was huge. We'll enjoy this win but understand we still have much work to do." – Coach Nick Patella.
