How It Happened:

• Clarion University got off to a strong start building a 13-2 lead inside the first six minutes of the first half.
• D&E rallied to close the first half with a string of baskets, closing the lead to just six points.
• The Senators tied the game early in the second half, but the Eagles answered with a 16-2 point run to build a commanding lead. Justin Grant and Tim Gill combined for 10 of the 16 points.
• Gill and BJ Andrews both finished with 19 points, with Rob Agurs adding in 12.
• Clarion shot 48.6% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc in the second half compared to just 27.6% and no three pointers from D&E.
• Kevin Bracy-Davis lead the Senators with 14 points, followed by Aleks Vasiljevic and Wesley Sprinkle who finished with 10 points each. Aleks pulled down 10 rebounds on the night.

"Clarion did a great job doing what they do to win games. They caused us some costly turnovers and hit timely 3's to keep us at arms length. We still have to learn how to play for 40 minutes together. It's a long season and I have faith in our team."
