Inside the Numbers

• Cedarville scored the first five points of the opening set by forcing three attack errors by the Senators.  D&E captured five of the next six points on kills by Charisse Mitchell, Elizabeth Estes and Sasha Johnson.  However, the Yellowjackets countered with a 10-3 run behind a pair of kills and a service ace by Krissy Pratt and forcing three more D&E attack errors.   The Senators which hit -.103 for the set, continued to struggle and Cedarville took advantage doubling-up D&E 22-11 with three kills from Abby Shelton who recorded a match-high 13 kills hitting .524 and adding eight digs and two blocks. Taylor Wilkerson, Pratt and Rachel Krikke closed out the match registering the final three kills.  Pratt and Wilkerson recorded seven kills in the match.
• D&E gained their first lead of the match scoring four of the first five points in the second set led by kills from Devon Saucy, Mitchell and Estes.  The teams continued to trade points, but Cedarville gained the upper hand to take a 16-14 advantage and then finished the set with a 9-3 run to win 25-17.   Shelton had four kills in the run for Cedarville.  Cedarville hit .435 in the second set and .427 for the match. 
• D&E opened the third set with just their second lead of the match on a Johnson kill, but Cedarville outscore the Senators 17-8 to take a commanding 17-9 lead. Despite hitting a match-best .241, D&E could not thwart the Yellowjackets attack which posted a match-high .483 hitting percentage.  The Senators narrowed the gap to 20-16 with a Kayla Godwin service ace, kills by Estes, Mitchell and a pair from Johnson.  However, Cedarville scored five of the last six to advance to the G-MAC Championship Finals Saturday, November 21.   
• Saucy and Estes finished with seven kills apiece, Haylee Murray posted 27 assists, while Michaela Touchet and Ellie Drain registered seven and six digs, respectively.
