How it Happened

• The Senators took the lead with a three-pointer from Caitlyn O'Neal in the first quarter but then struggled to put points on the board, ending the quarter 11-13.
• Mary Jane Braham added six points in the second quarter.
• Still trailing 23-22 prior to halftime, Sydney Turner make a three-pointer to put the Senators up 25-23 at half.
• The first three minutes of the third quarter saw the Senators in control, with Stephanie Wooten and Tajee Pledger contributing points.
• Washington Adventist then went on an eight point run, leaving the Senators trailing 38-32.
• Kali Wilburn came off the bench to provide some defensive pressure and with the help of Wooten and Turner the score became tied 38-38.
• With momentum carrying them, the Senators closed the 3rd quarter with a layup from Braham to make the score 40-38.
• The 4th quarter the action was back and forth.  When the Senators were trailing 51-56, Turner made another three-pointer with 39 seconds left to close the gap, 54-46.
• Despite a turnover by Washington Adventist, the Senators were unable to keep possession in the final seconds.    
• Sydney Turner led the Senators with 14 points (4-7 in 3PM-A), Mary Jane Braham had six rebounds.
