PHILIPPI, WV – Davis & Elkins drops conference contest at Alderson Broaddus.

The Basics

• Score: 3-0, (26-24, 25-13, 25-11)
• Records: D&E (2-12), AB (7-12)
• Location: Rex Pyles Arena, Philippi, WV
• The Short Story:  The Battlers pulled out a tight first set win 26-24 and went on to win the match 3-0, defeating the Senators 25-13 in the second set and then 25-11 in the deciding set.

How it Happened

• D&E jumped out to a 13-4 lead but AB battled back behind their solid offense, led my Megan Christmann. The Battlers evened the score 24-24 before pulling ahead to take the set.
• The Senators and Battlers swapped points early in the second set but a 7 point AB run gave the Battlers the advantage. AB capitilized on D&E errors and was able to win the second set.
• Jayla McCrary led the Battlers to a win in the deciding set. McCrary led all players with 14 kills.  AB's Lauren Hogan added 29 digs. 
• Devin Saucey and Alexa Smarra both had 5 kills for the Senators.
