ELKINS, WV – Davis & Elkins topped Ohio Valley 3-0 in GMAC contest.

• The Short Story:  Davis & Elkins won the first set 25-13 and the second 25-12. The Senators closed out the match with a 25-10 win in the third and deciding set.

How it Happened

• The Senators came out strong and took the first set 25-13, led by Junior Elizabeth Estes who had 5 kills in the set.
• In the second set, the Senators and Scots swapped points early, before D&E pulled ahead 13-7 and never looked back.  D&E went on a 10 point run to close out the set 25-12, behind their solid team defense and blocking. The Senators had 8 blocks in the set.
• The Senators jumped on the Scots in the third set, gaining a 17-5 advantage on a 7 point D&E run. D&E went on to win the set 25-10 behind the solid offense of Devin Saucy who had 5 kills in the set and 10 in the match.
• Elizabeth Estes led D&E and all players with 11 kills on the night.
