• The Short Story:  After exchanging points early on the first set tied at 4-4, D&E which hit .361 in the set went on an 14-4 run to build an 18-8 advantage en route to a 25-14 set win.  Notre Dame evened the match with a 26-24 win in the second setas they hit a match-best .176.  The Senators returned to better form in the third set jumping out to an 8-2 lead early and never relinquished it led by four kills fron Devin Saucy, while Kayla Godwin and Elizabeth Estes each recorded three apiece.   The Senators battled from behind in the fourth set to record the victory.  Trailing 17-14, D&E tied the match at 20-20 behind a pair of Charisse Mitchell kills, a kill by Estes, a service ace by Michaela Touchet, and block assists by Mitchell, Johnson, Godwin and Estes.  Estes recorded the final three kills for the Senators to finish the match with the 25-20 victory in the fourth set.
  
  
• Inside the Numbers: Saucy led four Senators in double-figures in kills with 15, Estes added 14, Mitchell 12 and Godwin 11.  Touchet recorded a career-high seven service aces (her previous best was six recorded on November 1, 2013 vs. Central State) and shared a team-high 15 digs with libero Ellie Drain.  Setter Haylee Murray finished with 49 assists and 12 digs, while Zoe Craig added 10 digs.  Estes and Mitchell each posted three block assists.
