Elkins, WV - Continuing with our lead-up to the G-MAC Cross Country Championships, Gerald Furby is interviewing his teammates to give us some behind the scenes info about the runners.

Today he asked members of the team: What was your favorite training session this season, and why?

Dylan Stansberry, sophomore from Walker, WV: "Probably when we did the 6 mile repeats because it was hard, but I felt like I accomplished something when it was over. And I was feeling good that day!"

Austin Jenner, sophomore from Bunker Hill, WV: "My favorite training session this season would probably have been running up Spruce Knob. There aren't that many teams that have the mountains to train with. Making it to the top is an accomplishment in itself but if you think about every step you took to get there, it pushes you to train harder for the next level of competition."

Kora White, senior from New Castle, VA: "One of my favorite training sessions that Coach Will Shaw and Coach Derek Bolyard created was the tempo runs. We were able to have both a long beautiful run out into the country but yet still have the speed introduced to us in the last 20 minutes of the run."

Marissa Long, sophomore from Belington, WV: "My favorite training session was the Spruce knob run because we've never done it before. It was challenging and enjoyable. It also gave us time as a team to connect and enjoy each other's company."

Danielle Haynes, freshman from Berkley Springs, WV: "My favorite training session this season was doing different workouts on our home course. I enjoyed running the trails and going up the hills."
