ATHENS, WV – Senators fall to Mountain Lions in non-conference match.

The Basics

• Score: 3-1, (25-17, 25-23, 25-27, 25-21)

• The Short Story:  Concord started strong, winning the first two sets 25-17 and 25-23. The Senators however fought hard to pick up a 27-25 win in the third set before falling to the Mountain Lions in the fourth set 25-21 and dropping the match.

How it Happened

• The Mountain Lions turned a slim 15-14 lead in the first set into a convincing 25-17 win as Alexi Pranckus recorded three of her 17 kills during the run.
• Davis & Elkins  fought out a 17-11 deficit to knot the second set at 23-23, but Concord's Jayden Jacobs caught the Senators off guard with a kill to secure the win.
• The Senators won a hard-fought third set 27-25.  Charisse Mitchell, Kayla Godwin and Elizabeth Estes all had 11 kills for the D&E in the match.
• After back-and-forth play in the fourth set that featured nine ties, the Mountain Lions took control of the set by scoring five of the match's final six points to take the match 3-1. Concord's Alexi Pranckus led all players with 17 kills and 21 digs.
