Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. -- Kentucky Wesleyan built a 14-point halftime lead and coasted to a 68-57 win over D&E on Thursday night.
Juwan Strothers paced the Senators with 15 points. Wesley Sprinkle (13) and Shuaib Kamara (10) also reached double-digits for D&E.
Ken-Jah Bosley led Kentucky Wesleyan with 13 points. Patrick Neel posted 12 points, while Zay Henderson registered a double-double (10 points, 10 rebounds).
The Panthers dominated on the glass, holding a 43-23 advantage--including 18 offensive rebounds, which lead to 17 second chance points. KWC's bench outscored D&E's bench, 24-13.
Davis & Elkins went on top 8-7 early; the Panthers respnded with a 19-6 run, pulling ahead 26-14. D&E battled back with a 7-0 blitz, trimming the margin to 26-21. KWC closed the half on an 11-2 surge to take a 37-23 lead to the locker room.
Kentucky Wesleyan led by as many as 22 in the second half en route to the 68-57 victory.
Davis & Elkins travels to Trevecca on Saturday.
