ELKINS, W. Va. - The Davis & Elkins men's soccer team defeated Ohio Valley 8-0 Thursday afternoon in G-MAC competition at Nuttall Field.

D&E scored five times in the first half to secure their first win of the season, and added three more in the second half.

The Senators (1-3-1, 1-0) received two goals each from James Pucci and Ayo Adeyina, and one goal each from Fredrik Hedemark, Oliver Bienias, and Declan McGill.  Ohio Valley (0-5, 0-1) had an own goal to conclude the scoring.

Brett Metheny recorded four saves for D&E and Garrett Willis added one.

D&E dominated the match outshooting the Fighting Scots 26-10, with 13 shots on goal.  The Senators also held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Senators will host Salem International on Saturday in G-MAC competition and the match time will be announced once it is confirmed via Twitter.
