SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -The Davis & Elkins women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 non-conference decision at Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon.

Andrea Felix scored two goals to lead Slippery Rock (2-1-1) to the win, while the Senators fall to 0-1-2.

Felix put SRU on the board in the ninth minute and Jordyn Kemp responed for D&E in the 20th minute to even the score at 1-1.

Felix's second goal came in the 28th minute to give SRU a 2-1 lead at halftime.

Ali Brosky and Leslie Henny each scored the second half to conclude the scoring.

Senior goalkeeper Ashley Winkelspecht recored nine saves in 90 minutes of action for D&E. 

Kaitlyn Buoni placed two shots on goal for the Senators while Maggie Fry added one shot on goal.

As a team, Slippery Rock held advantages over the Senators in total shots (23-6), shots on goal (13-3) and corner kicks (6-2).  

The Senators return to action on Thursday when they welcome G-MAC foe Ohio Valley to Nuttall Field for a 2:30 PM match.
