MASON, Ohio – Cedarville scored two runs in the opening frame and never looked back, downing Davis & Elkins, 11-0.

A leadoff walk in the first inning led to a pair of CU runs. Cedarville opened the fourth inning with a solo home run and posted three more runs on four hits, expanding the lead  to 6-0. The Yellow Jackets tacked on two runs in the seventh and three in the ninth, setting the 11-0 margin.

Zach Bradfield (2-5) lasted only 3.2 innings, yielding six runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and a pair of walks. Jake Smith hurled 4.1 innings, giving up two runs on six hits with two strikeouts. Christian Scott surrendered three runs on five hits in one inning on the hill.

Davis & Elkins will face a TBA opponent at 12 p.m. on Thursday.
