Box Score 2 ELKINS, W.Va. -- Zach Bradfield tied a single game G-MAC record with 14 strikeouts as D&E blanked Kentucky Wesleyan, 5-0 in game one. Tyler Honeycutt tossed a one-hitter in the nightcap, completing the sweep, 4-1.
Bradfield (2-4) tossed his second consecutive complete game, scattering five hits and allowing just one free pass.
Treavor Dubiel started the scoring in the sixth with a RBI single and scored on a two-run triple by Ryan Dodson as D&E went on top 3-0. Matt Moceri tripled home a run in the eighth and scored on a fielder's choice by Dubiel. Bradfield finished off the complete game with a strikeout, sealing the 5-0 shutout.
In game two, Marcus Warner worked a bases-loaded walk in the second inning. Ryan Butts delivered a two-run single and Lance Vannoy drove home the fourth run of the inning. KWC scored its lone run on a groundout in the bottom of the inning.
Honeycutt (6-3) yielded an unearned run, striking out three and walking a pair.
Kentucky Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins complete the weekend series with a double header on Saturday at 1 p.m.
