ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins women's tennis team moved into the driver's seat for the G-MAC women's tennis crown with wins over Central State (9-0) and Cedarville (6-3).
The Marauders provided little resistance for the Senators, as D&E swept all nine matches.
The Senators held a 2-1 lead at the conclusion of doubles play against Cedarville. Erika Ridgway sealed the win for Davis & Elkins with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the #6 singles. Natela Portshidze earned a key victory in a third set tiebreaker at the #3 singles position.
