INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Travis Phelps has been named the G-MAC's Baseball Offensive Athlete of the Week for the first time this season after an impressive week at the plate for the Senators, who went 4-0 last week in conference action and 6-0 overall on the week.
Phelps hit.611 with six runs batted in, a double, a triple, and also scored seven runs in six games. He led the conference in hits, on-base percentage, and batting average this past week by almost 70 points. He ranked among the league leaders in runs scored, slugging percentage, and total bases.
On the season, Phelps is now batting .372 to lead the Senators. He has a team-high 10 doubles, two triples, and total bases. He is fourth in the G-MAC in batting average and slugging percentage.
