Box Score 2 ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins and the Ursuline Arrows each earned one conference win on Saturday afternoon. Ursuline took game one, 6-0, while the Senators took game two, 7-0.
Game one was the first league win for Ursuline, while game two was the first nightcap win for D&E in conference play.
The Arrows crossed the plate on an error in the second inning and scored four runs in the top of the fourth to take a 5-0 lead. UC scored the game's final run in the sixth, sealing the 6-0 win.
Alanna Jones (6-9) yielded six runs (five earned) on eight hits with four walks and one strikeout.
In game two, Corrine Carrington drove home Katelyn Norton in the first inning. A wild pitch and Chelsie Stover single brought in two more runs, as D&E took a 3-0 lead after one inning. Ashley Dove singled home Amber LaBille in the second, and Katelyn Norton drove home three with a big fly, setting the 7-0 margin.
LaBille (4-12) gave up five hits, struck out five and walked one.
Davis & Elkins will face Glenville St. Tuesday at 2 p.m.
