Box Score PHILIPPI, W.Va. – Alderson Broaddus built a 12-point halftime lead and held off a furious D&E rally to advance to the G-MAC Championship game with a 77-63 victory on Friday evening.
Devin Miller (20) and Brian Dixon (14) each reached double figures in their final collegiate game.
Adam Kline posted a game-high 21 points for the Battlers. Malcom Tatum and Devin Colston each netted 13 points for AB.
Alderson Broaddus held a decisive 39-24 advantage on the glass and managed to shoot 51 percent (27-of-53) from the field. D&E attempted only four free throws on the night, while AB went to the stripe 17 times.
The Battlers broke a 6-6- tie with a trio of threes, igniting a 20-5 blitz that made the score 26-11. AB held a 33-21 lead at the break.
D&E stormed back with a 22-8 surge, making the score 58-54. Kline scored Alderson-Broaddus' next seven points, spurring a 12-2 run and sealing the 77-63 win.
Friday's loss brings an end to the careers of Miller, Dixon, Anthony Daniels, Ante Cosic and Bruce Komakech.
