ELKINS, W.Va. – Millersville completed a three-game sweep of Davis & Elkins, claiming a 5-1 decision in the series finale.

The Marauders put together three base hits in the third inning to take a 2-0 lead.  A D&E miscue in the fourth extended the lead to 3-0. A sixth inning error, compounded by two Marauder hits, extended the advantage to 5-0. Travis Phelps laced a RBI double to the right center field gap in the seventh, but could get no closer, as the MU bullpen closed out the 5-1 win.

Zach Bradfield was saddled with the loss, allowing five runs (three earned), scattering 10 hits while striking out four and walking only one in eight innings of work. Brennan Dettinger tossed a scoreless ninth, striking out one.

Davis & Elkins is scheduled to host Glenville State on Tuesday afternoon in a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 12 p.m.
