ELKINS, W.Va. – Jorden Lykes scored a game-high 23 points, propelling D&E to a 79-60 victory over Alderson Broaddus on Senior Day.

Ashley Bowles (12), Sharmaine Baker (10) and Stephanie Wooten (10) also added double figures for the Senators.

Rachel Ashley (11), Haley Robb (10) and Nautica Davis (10) reached double digits for the Battlers.

Davis & Elkins held a decisive 45-35 advantage on the glass. AB outscored D&E 17-9 on second chance points.

D&E kept AB off the scoreboard for the first five and a half minutes and scored nine points to pull ahead, 9-0. The Senators maintained a comfortable lead the remainder of the half, taking a 35-24 lead to the locker room.

The Battlers made just 9-of-32 (28 percent) attempts in the opening 20 minutes. D&E held a slight 24-24 advantage on the glass. The teams combined for 27 turnovers.

Lykes scored 17 points after halftime--the Senators never let up, rolling to the 79-60 victory.

The Senators face Ursuline on Thursday at 3:30 EST in Nashville to open quarterfinal play in the G-MAC tournament.
